Corporate stations are generally tall, and the old camera position tended to distort their geometry. The new camera position, which is further away, will make them look better.

We should also take the opportunity to improve the textures and scale them properly.

General Notes

  • We should consistently angle each station 15°.
  • The large reactor assembly (including vanes) is 300 meters high.

Specific Stations

High Priority

  • Corporate Armor Dealer: Re-design; similar size and shape as Arms Dealer. DONE
  • Corporate Arms Dealer: Needs to be 150 meters diameter. DONE
  • Corporate Auton Dealer: Needs to be 200 meters wide (including the fins). Need better detail; we also need to adjust the size of the windows. DONE
  • Corporate Enclave: Need to be about 200 meter diameter, which means the windows need to be smaller. Also, we need to add textures to the shell and more detail to the docking bay level. DONE
  • Corporate Ice Farm: Recreate using asteroid variants. DONE
  • Corporate Shipyard: Create new design. DONE

Medium Priority

  • Adventure Outfitters: Re-size to 150 meter diameter base. DONE
  • Clavius Insurance Conglomerate: Need to re-create at 75-100 meter diameter with appropriate size windows; add a 150 meter diameter base (torus) for gravity.
  • Fuel Depot: Add 150 meter diameter ring. DONE
  • Hotel: Resize and adjust textures. Consider adding a torus below the docking bays.
  • Corporate Manufacturing Plant: Should be 300 meters diameter. Add textures and detail. DONE
  • Corporate Metropolis: Re-render with new viewpoint.
  • Corporate Trading Post: Should be 250 meters diameter.
  • Makayev Manufacturing Plant: Re-render with new viewpoint; add detail.
  • Rasiermesser Manufacturing: The cube should be 200 meters, which means the windows need to be much smaller. Add texture to the side arms. DONE
  • Taikon Ventures: Consider a different design. Base should be around 150-200 meters.
  • Thor's Wondrous Devices: Re-create at 100 meter diameter, with appropriate sized windows. Consider adding a torus (if not, should be at least 150 meters diameter).

Low Priority

  • Armed Corporate Metropolis: Maybe come up with an armored version (optional).
  • Bushido Merchant: Come up with a distinct Bushido design (or use Corporate Arms Dealer).
  • Makayev Space Systems (Arms Dealer): Re-design using Makayev asthetics (optional).
  • Rasiermesser Arms & Armor (Arms Dealer): Re-design using Rasiermesser asthetics (optional).

...Might I suggest taking the opportunity to reskin the smaller dealers with their appropriate company's textures? It might be useful to be able to visually distinguish a general dealer from, say, a Makayev dealer.

Quite the opposite in fact, in some cases.

Although personally I think I preferred....I think Siafu's(?) one? But I'm more a fan of having the stations be physically different, especially as the addition of stuff in Corporate Command (and even stock SOTP in the post 1.0 versions) has fleshed out the materials schemes for each company.

That's not at all what I meant. I was recommending the mod as a possible inspiration for the intended changes. The current dealer stations are certainly due for replacement.

Note that I do agree with you that making use of the corporations' new texture/design schemes would be beneficial - I just thought it was cool that someone did this a long time ago, and I liked the logo aesthetic they used.
