When in Nebulae, the game slows down severely. It runs perfectly for me outside of these instances, and the slowdown appears to correlate with the number of enemy ships remaining in the system. Graphics settings currently at max, though I do not believe the problem is graphical. If I have further testing data, I will edit this item to include it.

 It’s not the graphics settings. I’ve been running into this for a long time, back before all the pretty new graphics stuff was in play. I still get it performance issues in nebulae, and I tend to run on minimal graphics setting (because somehow the lack of a layered starfield is oddly jarring after having played for so long with it).

Hi! This is a known issue due to the nebulae being rendered realtime on a single thread. Thats a lot of pixels, especially on a 4K screen.

Fixed in 1.6 Beta 5. We now use multiple threads to paint nebulae.
