the sapphire, ei500, and wolfen, are all examples of playerships with out of date data setups/xml definitions as well as the legacy hud graphics, when they could be using the dramatically simplified xml and cleaner ui elements used by the newer purchasable playerships

A rework to the inheritance will be needed since at least a partial move is needed in this direction. George likes the shaped huds on a few of the ships at least (sapphire in particular) so legacy support/visuals will be maintained, but there will probably be a registered mod that swaps them over too
