In my case, I am flying a Manticore with "heavy mark I Novaya armor" and added "ablative" paste, which results in "+laser" "+particle" showing in the GUI and overlapping with the armor name.

(See screenshot for result.)

Possible solution:
In that case, shorten the enhancement names in GUI to "+las" "+part".

BTW:
Should it not be "Mark I Novaya armor" with capital "M"?
(nitpicking mode off) ;-)

It would be good if an enhancement that has two effect should use its name (such as ablative). But it might confusing for player that doesn't know what kind is enhanced.

And for "mark", it is correct grammar since the "mark" are pointing out the armor's type/numerical attributes.

You could always see the full names of the enhancement when you look at the ships armor status screen. And "+las" +"abl" "+part" "+ion" "+blast"... would just be a reminder in the GUI then.

About mark/Mark:
I was under the impression that in "military" language, the "Mark" designating a revision of an item would have a capital "M" as in "Mark 48 torpedo" (see
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_(designation)

But as I mentioned, that is really nitpicking here ;-)

I see. I remembered that I also used capital "M" on armor series in my mods (e.g. Zirah Mk. I). I think George wanted uses lowercase letter so it would be not confused as "Mark" Novaya armor, but he could decide which best approaches.
