I've played a CC and a vanilla game on 1.9a1 and Dvalin seems not to have spawned in either.

@cinnabar, for clarification did the factories exist but none were Dvalin's lab or did no factories at all exist in the game?

@relanat, there were no Rasiermesser factories at all.

Fixed in 1.9 Alpha 2. We now guarantee at least 1 Rasiermesser factory.
