 That should only be the case in fullscreen play, or at least while the cursor is in the game’s window. Some of us play in windowed mode with keyboard controls and keep the mouse outside of the game’s window altogether. I get mildly annoyed as it is when loading a game, popping over to Discord to see what someone just said, and the cursor jumping to the middle-ish of the screen from wherever it was when the game finally loads up.

Oh, right, the mouse can be hidden on the intro screen. I meant only when it goes from visible to hidden in flight mode, i.e. when you start/load a game, undock, or press a rotation key, so it wouldn't happen when you're not actively playing. If you still think that would be a problem, there could be an option to turn it off, and/or an exception for windowed mode.
