Overview

This spec describes updates to the images of large ships in the core game. We cover three different classes of improvements:

  1. Large ships need 120 rotation frames. [This will be delivered via a separate extension: Human Space HD.]
  2. Some large ships need to be rescaled to reflect their actual size.
  3. Some large ships need improved textures and detail to fit the more realistic style we've developed.

Does size refer to length? or to max(length, width)?

Also: the [wiki says](http://wiki.kronosaur.com/modding/xml/artwork_scales) the formula for ship scale is:

Size(pixels) = 5 * Size(meters)^(0.7)

But the players ships are listed in the xml as:
