--APD Items--
-Xuanwu-55 howitzer: Its value is too low for a level 6 weapon (Same value as the level 5 Mark I howitzer). It should be at least in the 10000s.
-advanced Kuma repeater: It should have a higher powerUse than 20MW which is the same as the standard Kuma repeater. The lowest power use of a non-ammo thermo weapon is 40MW (Mark V). The power use needs to be increased as it is a Tier 3 damage type with less power use than some level 6 Tier 2 damage types.
-Kairyu missile: This should be more expensive. It currently shares the same value (25 credit) and mass as the T-105 missile.

--Eurasian Diarchy items--
-L17 Domovoi blaster: Way too powerful for a level 6 particle gun. It outclasses the TeV 9 in every way for just 5MW more. It is also nearly as powerful as the level 7 Hanzo blaster (75% of DPS) with twice the range and nearly half the power. Unless this is part of some new balance it is severely overpowered, but that is doubtful as the Resurrector's advanced taubeam only has 75DPS (74% of L17's DPS) and 50 range (under half range) and is also level 6 (But not military).

--APD Ships--
-Yamato bomber: I'm unsure why a capital ship carrying thermonuclear missiles would use kinetic cannons. The Otoroshi cannons are heavily obsolete in the systems the Yamato starts appearing commonly. It would seem better to equip kuma repeaters (Or advanced ones). The only reason I can see that the Yamato has Otoroshi cannons is to balance against the ED's Imperators which have no WMD whatsoever and lose readily against the Yamato. This unfortunately hinders the Yamato against other enemies who do have WMD and can easily destroy the slow turning (important because thermo missiles are in forward firing arc) kinetic equipped Yamato while the Imperator does great against everything that isn't a capital ship with its full ion loadout.

--UAS Ships--
-Khurasan dreadnought: I'm unsure why the Khurasan is equipped with etherium armor when it has no shield. It would have been better to be equipped with Nanoforged Meteorsteel if it is to run without a shield. Even Nanoforged orthosteel armor would be better and cheaper.

Edit: Corrected advanced Taubeam's DPS calculation (5 dmg x 15 shots) = 75, not 60.

I totally agree on the Yamato.. I always wondered why it was using one of the lowest performing guns in the game.

the_shrike 21 Apr 2015:

In addition, the Kairyu missile is unfinished: the description says it's a multi-warhead weapon.....and it isn't. On the other hand, my own experiments with clustered missiles shows they're quite hard to balance.

I definitely agree about the Otoroshi. It's a bad weapon at level 3, and at higher levels it's beyond a joke. Kuma repeaters as minimum would be appropriate.

In general, Eternity Port needs a wide pass right through it to remove old placeholder values and effects and get everything matching its description.

In addition to all THAT, the Eurasian Diarchy needs a WMD weapon. Drop the damage on an archura bolt or something and give it WMD, so they can finally kill capital ships. Their endgame weapon pales in comparison to the Baihu archcannon on this point in particular.

Very helpful feedback! Thank you.

I've made the following changes in the next release:

  • Xuanwu-55: Increased price to 16,000 (credits). Also increased power use to 35 from 30, to compensate for the extra damage relative to a Mark III howitzer.
  • Advanced Kuma repeater: Increased power use to 50 MW.
  • Kairyu missile: Added multiple warhead feature. Also increased price to 60 and mass to 50.
  • Domovoi blaster: Damage reduced to 2d8+2. The scale calls for 10 hp average per shot; 2d8+2 averages 11, which matches the extra power use.
  • Bastion cannon: Added WMD:5 (and reduced range to compensate).
  • Uragan bolt: Added multiple warheads (as specified in description).
  • Vulkan bolt: Added WMD:5.
  • Yamato class: Upgraded to use Kuma repeaters.
  • Khurasan class: Uses nanoforged ithalium.
